“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God.” - Isaiah 41:10a
The Lord is fiercely present, though some have painted Him as a blithe spirit, easily offended and quick to dissipate like some mist in the scorching sun. He is powerfully and fiercely present. In times of fear, He is present and fear has no power when we focus on that presence. In times of doubt, He is present, nudging us to knowing, crowding us to the certainty of Himself. When we are full of joy and confidence, He is there in the festival, whispering that He, not we ourselves, is the joy pure and essential. He is there. He is present. He is. His presence fills the whole earth, and He is not fragile.
